2008 North American "Cecil Kimber Birthday Run"
Saturday, October 4, 2008 Kimber Run Registration fee: $5.00 per car This multi MG Club event will tour rural roads in Hunterdon County, NJ and Bucks County, PA in honor of the creator of the MG marque (but all British cars are welcome)! The 2008 Kimber Run has been organized to be as kind as possible to your families exchequer, with no costly restaurant menu involved. The day will begin at 11:00 AM at the Cracker Barrel Restaurant, 14 Frontage Drive, Clinton, NJ 08809 just off Exit 15 on Interstate 78 (East or West bound). Perfect for a cup of coffee/tea or more before the Kimber Run. Will do the run organization here and then be off by 11:30 AM. The tour will be an easy 80/90 minute drive through picturesque countryside arriving at our destination Tinicum Park, 963 River Road (Route 32) Erwinna, PA 18920 (north of New Hope, PA) and it's polo field at 1 pm. Polo match will begin at 2 PM. The total cost will only be $10.00 per car, something all will enjoy in this time of high prices! You will need to pack a picnic lunch to eat at the park. **No picnic tables or chairs at the Polo Field so plan ahead** Hope you will be able to join us for this fun day of touring beautiful country roads, your own outstanding picnic and an exciting polo match. What could be more British than that!! Polo Match and Kimber Run WILL NOT be held if the field is wet as this would cause dangerous conditions that could lead to injuries to the riders and houses.
